PASSENGER ALERT: M5 Southbound Roadworks to Dec 2025
National Highways South-West is carrying out major overnight resurfacing 15 Sep – 19 Dec 2025 on the M5 southbound between Junctions 28 and 30.
Works schedule:
Weeknights only (Mon–Fri, 7pm–6am)
Phased approach to minimise disruption (Sept–Nov: J28–29 and Nov–Dec: J29–30)
Please plan ahead for travel to and from the airport, and follow signed diversions provided by National Highways South-West.
There are currently no changes to the rules regarding liquids and large electrical items in hand luggage. When preparing for security screening at Exeter Airport, please follow the existing guidelines: Liquids must be in containers of 100ml or less and placed in a single, transparent, resealable plastic bag (one per passenger), with a capacity of no more than 1 litre and dimensions of approximately 20cm x 20cm (8in x 8in). All liquids and large electrical items (e.g., laptops) must be removed from hand luggage and presented separately for screening.
