One year after the launch of the Exeter–Amsterdam service by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, travellers from across the South West – as well as visitors from around the world – are making the most of the route.
Since the first flight took off in March 2025, the number one end destination continues to be the Netherlands. Thanks to its Amsterdam hub, KLM has also given passengers access from Exeter Airport to destinations across the globe, be it for holidays, business trips or to visit friends and relatives. Booking data shows a strong interest in trips to Germany, Norway, and Sweden. Beyond Europe, top destinations include Hong Kong, the United States, Peru, South Africa and more.
At the same time, the route has brought international visitors into the South West, supporting tourism and strengthening the region’s global links. Passengers taking advantage of the KLM service into Exeter have been travelling from various cities in Europe as well as Argentina, Canada, Hong Kong, and South Africa, to name a few.
