Exeter Airport welcomes new Ryanair flights to Porto for summer 2027

Exeter Airport has welcomed Ryanair’s announcement of a new twice-weekly service to Porto for summer 2027, giving holidaymakers another popular European destination to fly to directly from their local airport.

The new route to northern Portugal will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays, offering convenient options for both short breaks and longer holidays.

Porto is renowned for its historic city centre, picturesque riverside setting and famous port wine cellars. It is also an ideal starting point for exploring northern Portugal, from the vineyards of the Douro Valley to the beaches of the Atlantic coast.

The announcement marks a further expansion of Ryanair’s operations at Exeter Airport, adding another destination to its growing network from the South West.

Ryanair already operates popular services from Exeter to destinations including Alicante and Malaga in Spain, and Faro in Portugal. The airline increased frequencies on its Malaga route for summer 2026.

Stephen Wiltshire, Managing Director of Exeter Airport, said: “We’re delighted that Ryanair is adding Porto to its network from Exeter Airport.

“Porto is a wonderful destination with plenty to offer, whether it’s a city break, exploring the beautiful Douro Valley or discovering more of northern Portugal.

“This new route is another positive development for Exeter and builds on the strong growth we’ve seen in passenger numbers and our route network. It’s great news for passengers across Devon and the wider South West who want to fly conveniently from their local airport.”

The new Porto service is among the first 29 routes announced by Ryanair as part of its summer 2027 schedule, with flights available to book now at www.ryanair.com.
