  Palma Mallorca (often referred to as just Palma) is the capital city of the Balearic island of Majorca situated in the Mediterranean Sea. The climate has mild winters to warm summers with the coldest month average temperature being around 12ºC and the warmest month average temperature being around 26ºC but temperatures have reached as his as 38ºC. The sea temperature ranges on average from 10ºC during the coldest month through to an average of 26ºC during the warmest month.

  The city of Palma Mallorca is over looked by Bellver Castle which sits just 3 km from the city centre on a hill. It was built in the 14^th century and is one of the few circular castles that was built in Europe. The castle now acts as the city’s history museum and is a very popular tourist attraction.

  The Royal Palace of La Almudaina is the fortified palace of Palma. It was claimed as the royal residence in the 14^th century and even though it has passed ownership the state the Royal Family use it an official residence.

  A rather wonderful way to see the sights of Palma Mallorca is to take an organised Segway tour. You select the length of your tour from 1 to 3 hours and then your guide will lead you around some of the special sights of Palma Mallorca.

  There is so much to see and do but don’t forget the stunning beach of Palma Mallorca and the other beaches around the island. They are well maintained and the water if warm and welcoming.

  Then is the evening join the locals for a promenade or take a seat in the cafes, bars and restaurants and enjoy the local foods and drinks that are on offer.
