Codeshare and US Customs via Dublin
With the new partnership between Flybe and Aer Lingus, Exeter passengers are accessing a wide range of destinations across North America and Canada via a single stop in Dublin.
Flybe’s codeshare agreement with Aer Lingus allows passengers to fly via Ireland on a single ticket to destinations such as Boston, New York, San Francisco, Orlando, Chicago and Toronto.
Exeter Airport’s managing director Matt Roach said: “Our well-established Dublin route has become even more popular with the codeshare scheme which has our passengers leaving Exeter in the morning for Dublin before joining an Aer Lingus afternoon flight to Orland. This really is a great new option for travellers from the South West Peninsula.”
Bookings can be made via the Aer Lingus website or through local travel agents and with just one airline ticket travellers can be assured of seamless onward flights through Dublin which also provides US Customs pre-clearance. Passengers can then arrive at their destination airport in the United States as a ‘domestic passenger’ and by-pass lengthy US Customs and Immigration queues.
