Aurigny expands Exeter-Guernsey route with five weekly summer services

Guernsey airline Aurigny has announced a significant boost to air connectivity from Exeter Airport following the recent expansion of its ATR 72 fleet.

The airline will increase its summer flight frequency between Exeter and Guernsey from three to five flights per week from the 2nd of April. Services will now operate on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, representing a 66% increase in seat capacity. The Thursday and Saturday flights are new additions to the schedule.

The enhanced service will provide greater flexibility and choice for leisure travellers, short-break visitors and those visiting friends and family, while strengthening links between Guernsey and the wider West Country.

Stephen Wiltshire, Managing Director of Exeter Airport, said: “This expansion of Aurigny’s Guernsey service is excellent news for the region. Increasing the route to five weekly flights gives passengers greater choice and flexibility, whether they’re planning a short break, visiting friends and family, or travelling for business. Guernsey is a popular destination for our passengers, and we’re pleased to be working closely with Aurigny to strengthen this important regional air link for Summer 2026.”

Philip Saunders, Chief Commercial Officer at Aurigny, said: “Fleet growth gives us the opportunity to make carefully targeted improvements to connectivity across our network, and Exeter is a great example of that. This increase reflects strong demand and the enduring appeal of travel between Guernsey and the West Country.

“We’re very much looking forward to building on our already strong partnership with the whole team at Exeter Airport, strengthening links that support tourism in both directions, from the beaches, countryside and heritage of Devon and the West Country to Guernsey’s island experiences, history and natural beauty.”
