Canada flights start 23rd season

Every Wednesday on wide-bodied Airbus A310

Canadian Affair starts its 2011 programme of Exeter to Toronto flights on Wednesday 18 May.  This is the 18th successive year of flights from Exeter using the airline Air Transat and the 23rd year the route has been on offer from the airport.

The weekly service to Toronto, which will depart every Wednesday until the end of September, is operated on wide-bodied Airbus A310 aircraft with an Economy Class seat pitch of 32 inches.

Jamie Christon, Exeter Airport’s Managing Director said: “We estimate that over 225,000 passengers have used the route established back in 1988 and the flights are still proving incredibly popular as the alternative departure point for South West passengers would be Birmingham or London.

“We have regular flyers who visit family and friends but the route also opens up a wealth of holiday possibilities.  Toronto is a vibrant city destination but it is an ideal gateway for the province of Ontario, and other parts of Canada.”

The operator of the route is offering flights from just £298 return (incl. taxes) in Economy Class and complimentary meals are offered on all flights. Child discounts are available and passengers can also upgrade to the Club Class cabin from as little as £159 one-way and enjoy a host of added extras.

A six night Toronto break costs from just £475 per person, including return Economy Class flights from Exeter and six nights at the 3-star Best Western Primrose Hotel in Toronto (twin share, room only).

For travellers wanting to explore further afield, a six night fly drive taking in the best of Ontario, costs from just £899 per person. This includes return Economy Class flights from Exeter, car rental, accommodation (twin share, room only) and entry to selected attractions.
