Flybe – Voted Top Low-Cost Airline

Satisfaction Survey Puts Exeter Airline at the Top

Exeter International Airport based Flybe has been crowned the top low-cost airline by leading customer insight specialist, The Listening Company, in its latest study of the travel industry and UK consumer booking habits.

The study asked 8,000 consumers across the UK which carriers, travel agencies and holiday destinations they would actively recommend to others. The survey was undertaken to understand customer satisfaction and accurately reflect what travellers think. The outcome of the survey reflects Flybe’s commitment to providing an efficient, low-cost service for travellers, with customer satisfaction front of mind.

Jamie Christon, Commercial Director, Exeter International Airport said:  “We wish to congratulate the airline on the achievement, which is not only a testament to the hard work of everyone working directly for flybe, but it also reflects the first class customer service that check-in agents at airport’s such as Exeter International Airport provide.”

Exeter currently operates a score of  flybe scheduled service flights with destinations in France, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the Balearic Islands together with United Kingdom and Channel Islands routes which account for half the flights.

The research highlights Flybe’s position as the leading low-cost carrier in the UK and Europe and places Flybe as the fourth most recommended carrier overall, just behind Emirates, P&O and Virgin.

Mike Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer, Flybe commented: “To be recognised as the UK and Europe’s leading low-cost carrier by travellers is a huge achievement and a great honour for Flybe, especially as the research is solely based on customer satisfaction.”
