Head for winter sun with Exeter Airport

Exeter Airport is adding more choice for winter sun holidays with flights to Gran Canaria and Tenerife starting this week.

Flights to Gran Canaria run every Monday until April 18 next year and flights to Tenerife operate year-round on Tuesdays from today (5th October) with an additional flight on Fridays from 22nd October through the winter.

The routes are the latest addition to Exeter’s growing network as international travel becomes easier.

TUI has already confirmed its 2021/2022 schedule from Exeter Airport, with flights to Spain (Ibiza, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Majorca, Menorca, Tenerife), Greece (Corfu, Crete, Rhodes, Zante), Cyprus (Paphos), and Turkey (Antalya, Dalaman) all set to resume.

In total, Exeter Airport has 28 domestic and international destinations scheduled for 2021/22 as it gears up to meet what is expected to be pent-up demand for holidays at home and abroad.

Steve Wiltshire, Operations Director at Exeter Airport, said: “The Canary Islands are always hugely popular and we’re delighted to see Tenerife and Gran Canaria joining Lanzarote in TUI’s schedule from Exeter.

“For holidaymakers longing to escape to the sun we have a great range of destinations on their doorstep from Exeter Airport. As well as year-round flights to Alicante, Lanzarote and Tenerife, there’s still time to grab an autumn break in Majorca with regular flights well into October and Paphos, Cyprus, until mid-November.”

The full list of countries reached directly from Exeter Airport in 2021-22 is: Cyprus (Paphos), France (Chambery), Greece (Corfu, Crete, Rhodes, Zante), Lapland (Enontekio, Pajala), Spain (Alicante, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Lanzarote, Malaga, Majorca (Palma), Menorca, Tenerife), Turkey (Antalya, Dalaman). Plus Aberdeen, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Guernsey, Isles of Scilly, Jersey, Newcastle, Norwich and Manchester in the UK.
