New Managing Director

Matt Roach takes over from Jamie Christon

The Board of Exeter and Devon Airport Limited has appointed Matthew Roach as its new Managing Director.

Mr Roach will take over from Jamie Christon who leaves the company at the end of September.

Matt Roach, who joined the airport in 2007 as Finance Director and subsequently became Company Secretary, commented: “I am delighted to have been appointed Managing Director and I am looking forward to taking Exeter Airport to the next stage of its development.  Working with the Board and a great team at the airport we will be steering the company out of what have been difficult trading years. There are a number of exciting projects which I am certain will deliver growth to the benefit of our customers, stakeholders and employees.”

Matt lives in Exeter and is also on the Board of Exeter College and a Governor at Clyst St Mary Primary School. Outside of work, Matt is a keen supporter of Exeter City Football Club and enjoys spending time with his family.

The announcement comes as Exeter Airport today publishes an Addendum to its Masterplan. The document sets out in more detail plans to develop land the airport owns or controls to the north and south east of the airport site in the future. The airport is encouraging stakeholders and interested parties to respond to the plans and details can be found at exeter-airport.co.uk/masterplanaddendum
