Exeter International airport welcomed its new Flybe route between Exeter and Norwich.
Representatives from Norfolk Tourism and Visit Norwich flew in on the first flight from Norwich in order to forge relations with Exeter and promote inbound and outbound tourism. The Norfolk visitors were in Devon to promote their region to South West travellers and to find out what the region has to offer.
Traditionally it would take close to six hours to travel between Exeter and Norwich either by train or car, however the new service from Flybe takes just over one hour and makes travelling between the regions much easier and more accessible.
Flights from Exeter International airport to Norwich International airport are available for booking.

Mike Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer, Flybe commented: “The route is already experiencing strong consumer demand, with load factors at over 82% for the first weeks of operation.”
Clare Packer, Visit Norwich Marketing Manager, comments: “This new service gives both cities the ideal opportunity to boost tourism by attracting visitors from either country. Residents would not traditionally consider driving the distance for a short break, but flying makes a weekend or mid-week break away an easy option. By visiting we hope to raise awareness of what Norwich and Norfolk have to offer the people of Exeter, and take back information about Devon in return.”
