With the installation of a set of rugby posts at the front of the main terminal building, Exeter Airport has joined the promotional activity for the local games of the Rugby World Cup tournament in 2015.
Exeter is one of ten cities across the country hosting the event and three World Cup matches will be played at Sandy Park, the home of the Exeter Chiefs.
Matt Roach, Exeter Airport’s managing director said: “It is great to see a set of RWC 2015 rugby posts at the Airport to highlight the fact that Exeter is one of the host cities for the tournament. The posts are in a prominent position at the front of the terminal and our passengers will become more aware of this prestigious event during the build up to the tournament over the next year or so.
“We are also looking forward to being the gateway for thousands of travelling supporters and rugby fans who will use the airport as part of their travel arrangements. As well as the established routes from around the UK and Europe, the newly announced London City airport route, with up to three flights a day, will be in operation and we anticipate that this will be a very popular way of getting to and from the South West venue.”
