Exeter Easter Getaway Flights

The Busiest Period of the Year so far

The Busiest Period of the Year so far

With the launch of the new Norwich route, the reintroduction of this year’s scheduled services to Spain and Portugal, the ski flights to France and Switzerland and the Thomson holiday flights to the Canaries and Cyprus, Exeter Airport is prepared for a busy Easter.

Matt Roach, Exeter Airport’s managing director said: “Our South West passengers have been booking a wide range of flights and holidays over Easter and with approximately 15,000 passengers using the airport in the next week this will be the busiest period of the year so far.”

The domestic flights to and from Exeter Airport are playing a part in reuniting families and friends for Easter and the new link to Norfolk adds to the services to the mainland UK routes to Edinburgh and Glasgow, Belfast and Manchester, Newcastle and London City. The Belfast and Dublin flights and those to the Channel Islands and the Isles of Scilly will also be busy for the first major public holiday period of 2016.

Mr Roach added: “The Easter holiday is a hugely important period for travel and the new route to Norwich, which will cut up to five hours off a journey by road or rail and at very reasonable fares, is a great addition to our services.”
