More TUI winter sun flights start next week

Holidaymakers searching for some winter sun from Exeter Airport will have even more choice next week when TUI starts its winter flights to Gran Canaria and Tenerife.

The Canary Islands are a popular winter getaway and TUI already flies to Lanzarote from Exeter. From Tuesday (2nd October) it will start weekly winter flights from Exeter to Gran Canaria, with twice-weekly flights to Tenerife starting the following day.

TUI is Exeter Airport’s biggest operator by destination with a total of 12 routes and has already announced 15,000 more seats for next year, with 20 flights a week to five regions.

Exeter Airport managing director Stephen Wiltshire said: “The Canaries are hugely popular for winter getaways and the start of TUI’s Gran Canaria and Tenerife services means there is even more choice for passengers from Exeter.

“And for those who prefer the ski slopes over a sunny beach, our winter service to Chambery, gateway to the French Alps, starts in December.”
